The third (3rd) Saturday in July is historic in that our grandparents Govan and Elizabeth Worrell out of Waverly, Virginia established this tradition over 100 years ago. We have been honoring this tradition with each generation. We realize that family reunions are important for strengthening family bonds, preserving heritage, and creating lasting memories. They offer a chance to reconnect with relatives, share stories, and pass down family history to younger generations. These gatherings also provide a sense of belonging and can be a source of support and strength for all family members. This season we gather in the spirit of love, joy, peace, hope and reconciliation.
Let’s celebrate family!
And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. Deuteronomy 6:7
